Congratulations Amsterdam on reaching the 10,000th public, on-street charging point in the city!
Since 2009, the network of charging points on Amsterdam’s streets, canals and avenues has grown steadily. Exactly 15 years ago to the day, the 100th public charging point was celebrated. Now there are 100 times as many: just under one AC charging point with two sockets per day. That’s how you build a charging network: not in one fell swoop, not as a fixed target, but growing with demand, expanding where needed – using data.
In other places, such as car parks, there are also more and more publicly accessible charging points, and fast chargers are available in many different locations in and around the city. That puts the city of Amsterdam – if it were truly a republic – in 11th place in Europe:

How does this compare to other European cities?

Brussels has made significant progress in the past five years!
Amsterdam has 11 times more public EV charging points per capita than Berlin:
