Who we are

This website is operated by Watture, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 50383655, VAT number NL001955460B31. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at info@watture.eu. Watture is the data controller for personal data processed via this website.

What we collect, and why

We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum. This website has no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, and no user accounts — we do not ask you for, or store, personal details. The only processing that takes place is anonymous usage statistics, so we can understand which content is useful and improve the site.

Analytics

We use Matomo, an analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own server — your visit data is never sent to Google, Meta, or any other third-party analytics provider. Matomo is configured to anonymise your IP address (the last part of your address is removed before storage), and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Matomo sets a small number of first-party analytics cookies (such as _pk_id and _pk_ses) to avoid counting the same visitor twice. These are readable only by this website and are never shared. The site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, charts, or images hosted elsewhere). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with that content. We have no control over their data practices.

Who we share your data with

No one. We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties. Because analytics run on our own server and the site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, or CDNs, your visit does not leak to external companies.

How long we keep it

Anonymised analytics data is retained for 180 days, after which it is deleted automatically. Standard web-server logs are kept short-term for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase any personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to data portability. Since we hold only anonymous analytics, we usually cannot link data to an individual — but if you have a request, email info@watture.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
