100% emission free mobility in the city by 2030

Entering a new phase in its plans to improve the air quality and towards a carbon neutral city in the near future, the City of Amsterdam launched a new Clean Air Action Plan in 2019. Watture (Jaap Burger) contributed to these plans with expertise and strategy for EV charging infrastructure. This involved identifying bottlenecks in the rollout process, proposing an updated demand-driven strategy using advanced data on occupancy of parking spots and charging infrastructure. Special attention in the plans and subsequent charging strategy is given to smart charging, in order to relieve the electricity grid and boost renewable energy production in the city.

  • Preparation for 100 % electric mobility
  • Smart charging strategy to support renewables & the grid
  • Improved demand-drive rollout process using data
